Hagerty now offers Guaranteed Value The term Guaranteed Value* has replaced Agreed Value
on new Hagerty quotes and policies. Agreed value is a phrase that many clients
find confusing. We feel that Guaranteed Value better describes what type of policy Hagerty provides. Once your vehicle
value is set, you are guaranteed to receive the full insured amount in the event of a covered total loss, with no depreciation.

CONGRATULATIONS TO AUGUST
2011 COLLECTOR CAR PHOTO CONTEST WINNER ANNE & CHUCK MURRAY FROM THIRD LAKE, IL WITH THEIR 1970 CHEVELLE! This car is a remake of the one Chuck owned back in the 70's (he was able to locate the actual car but the owner will not sell it). Check
out the picture of the Chevelle in an Arizona junk yard almost 8 years ago! The entire car was stripped down to the last nut and bolt, body removed, interior gutted, and frame stripped of all
suspension. Every piece of sheet metal, frame and suspension was then dip
stripped to bare metal and inspected. The frame and all the running gear
were then powder coated medium black and all the body panels painted the same inside and out in Astro Blue
which was only offered in 1970. Over the last 4 1/2 years Chuck has driven
it over 10,000 miles, the last trip to Columbus, Ohio for the "BIG" Goodguys show and have another trip planned
for October to cross Tennessee West to East then back home to northern Illinois. Specs: Engine: 565 cu.in. big block. Transmission:
TH-400 w/ Gearvendors overdrive. Rearend: Beefed-up 12 bolt with 3.55:1
gear and positraction. Suspension: Hotchkis adjustable rear -- QA1 adjustable
coilover shocks w/ tubular upper & lower control arms up front. Interior:
Pretty much stock black vinyl SS inside except for the Procar Ralley 1000 bucket seats and the retractable 3 point seat
belt/shoulder harness. The incredible paint work was done by Kiel Sawusch
of Crown Auto Body in Lake Bluff, IL.

CONGRATULATIONS TO JULY 2011 COLLECTOR CAR PHOTO CONTEST WINNER DAVE SEMEL AND HIS 1958 CORVETTE
RESTOMOD! This Corvette sat in a field in Alabama for 20 plus years. During that time the frame
rusted and a new front clip needed to be added. It was a perfect candidate for a restomod project since plenty of fiberglass
work was needed. Considerable fiberglass work was needed in order to get an original 1958 Corvette body to fit on a
modern chassis. The original Corvette was owned by the guy who 25 years ago traded a sewing machine for the Vette. He
later sold it to his nephew who left it in a field for 20 years.

Here’s my experience with my 1958 Corvette “Restomod” named 58REDUX I’ve always been a Corvette fan since I was very young. I knew some day I would own one
of America’s Sports Car. When I started looking at purchasing one I was having a problem deciding if I should get a
new ZO6 or… should I go for a 1958 Corvette. The classic lines of the ‘58 Corvette kept sticking in my head.
Then, when I first saw a restomod over 4 years ago I knew I was going to do something like that. If you’re going to get involved with doing a restomod, you really need to plan out what you want to accomplish
in the finished product. Determine if you’ll be able to do the work yourself or will you need someone to help? After
researching this idea, I decided I wanted my ‘58 restomod Corvette to look like a sleeper. Jerry Smith owner, Rusty Smith, Daniel Meredith and Toby Smith of Southern Street Rods and Corvettes in Ft Pierce,
FL was the company I worked with since they were willing to incorporate some of my ideas into the build.
